I’m married to the love of my life, Dan Williamson, for 33 years! I am the mother of 4 children, a mother-in-law, and Nene to 5 beautiful grandchildren. I am an active member of my community as the Founder of Legacy of Life Extension where Community and Workforce Education Development is the foundation. I have been in many positions, both volunteer and paid, over the past 40 years. I have served 6 years as a volunteer Chair or Co-chair for ASC-Relay for Life programs and past officer of the ANMP. I have served as Vice President of Operations for 31 years for a Mississippi-based business with my husband. In all of this, I was a Realtor for 20 years. My passion and my mission are always to make the wonderful gift of life better and easier for my family and for others. For this reason, I became the owner of the Legacy business coop center. My joy comes when I can help others with their walk. Legacy of Life Extension was created to educate and to help others have access to life-changing information that is designed for long-term positive outcomes.
When our communities become self-sufficient, only then can we thrive and be healthy and wealthy.

Barbara and her husband started their own business, in the 1980's, selling, instilling and servicing commercial and residential intercom systems, central vacuum systems, security systems and phone systems. She learned technicalities of those systems as she managed every aspect of the office, internal affairs (accounts receivable, accounts payable, shipping and receiving, payroll, etc.) and customer service. After selling their business, she became the Warranty Manger at an electronics repair company and eventually added the responsibility of Parts Manager, again learning the lingo and technicalities of both systems and becoming proficient at navigating both arenas simultaneously. While doing the previous responsibilities, she would also proof reports for five retail stores. Her work in Administrative Services (Human Resources) and the Marketing department at a large natural gas company for a total of three and a half years, utilized her organizational and communication skills. She retired as Office administrator of a non-profit organization after 20 years, again managing all activities, including payroll and producing a monthly newsletter from start to finish.
